{Rescources} New Advent E-book for Kids!

So, I have been following a blog for a little while now called Impress Your Kids. Amanda White, mom & blogger, created this blog to share ways that we can IMPRESS Gods word on our kids' lives and hearts. I started reading and found it so helpful. It's chock full of great ideas of things to do with your children.

Growing up my mom would always try to find new ways for my brother, sister and I to remember what this Christmas season was all about. I always appreciated all she did to get us together as a family and to remember Christs birth. Karis is a little over 2 years old now and now I've been looking to start new holiday traditions with her.  So I began my search for advent activities for small children.  I could really find anything that fit what I waas looking for.  A few days  later, Amanda at Impress Your Kids, announces that she was getting ready to released an eBook entitled, Truth in the Tinsel: An Advent Experience for Little Hands.

I just picked up my copy and can't wait to get started! The eBook has 24 advent activities & and crafts for Preschool to Elementary aged children. There is something for every age in this eBook!  She even has alternate schedules for busy mom's who aren't able to do a craft every day. Yay for me! :)

I plan on doing one of the alternate schedules. Karis is a little young to do some of the activities in the book so the alternate schedule will give me a plan that will keep her attention and still help me teach her the amazing story of Christmas!

As we do our activities I plan on taking pics and posting them here on my blog so you can see our progress and what it's been like. If you'd like to start your own family time during this advent season... Get this eBook! Truth in the Tinsel: An Advent Experience for Little Hands is only $4.99! And if you buy it today, Black Friday, you will only pay $2.99!!!! Great deal!

What I truly appreciate about this eBook is how Amanda is simply providing ideas on how to share the beautiful story of the birth of our savior in a fun way. And she wonderfully calms the nerves of a busy mom, like myself, noting that it's important that this doesn't become a way we try to gauge if we are a good parent or not. Instead, to see it as an invitation to engage our Savior and the beautiful story of his love for us.

Join me on my journey through this Advent experience with my little family! :)

A message to New Life Parents:
I encourage you to start your own family traditions to IMPRESS God's Word on the heart of your children this Christmas season. I'm using this eBook in my home. If you have something you can use at home, by all means use it. But if you don't have anything, get this eBook and start. Start small, don't set your expectations too high. You may not have all of the supplies, your craft may not be as pretty or you may miss a day or two. No worries! It's important for you to just spend that time with your child(ren), to share the Christmas story.

Let the journey begin...!
